Abstract

The paper is devoted to comparing of the technological features of ceramics of the “Comb-Pit Community” of North-Western Baraba. According to the materials of “Comb-Pit” complexes from the Staryi Moscovskyi Trakt-5 and Avtodrom-2 settlements, it was established that in the Baraba forest-steppe the so-called “Comb-Pit Community” is represented by at least two different technological traditions. The tradition of the Early Metal Epoch is characterized by persistence in the composition of molding masses with bird down. The other part of pottery is made from “silty” raw materials with the addition of organic solutions and, in some cases, chamotte. It presumably belongs to the Late Neolithic and has technological similarities with the ceramics of the Artyn culture of Late Neolithic.
