In 2023, during archaeological excavations conducted at the memorial complex “Nomgon-2” in the middle and eastern sectors, a joint expedition of the Turkic Academy (Kazakhstan) and the Institute of Archaeology of Mongolia discovered parts of the head of a stone sculpture-bediz, ceramic fragments, and structural components of the complex. The khagan dynastic tamgas “eshir” (“ashina”) and other tamgas were carved on 11 balbals. A new reconstruction drawing has been created based on the overall structure and components of the complex.
