Open access policy
Margulan Readings provides readers with free access to published articles and journal issues, without embargo periods or reading fees.
Authors retain exclusive rights to their articles. Upon acceptance of an article for publication, the authors enter into a License Agreement with the Publisher, granting a non-exclusive, royalty-free right of first publication and the right to make the article openly accessible.
Articles published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license may be read, downloaded, copied, printed, distributed, translated, and adapted for non-commercial purposes without prior permission from the authors or publisher. When using such materials, users must give appropriate credit to the authors, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether any changes have been made. A reference to the original publication and its DOI should be provided wherever reasonably practicable.
The license terms do not apply to third-party materials explicitly identified as exceptions in the article. The terms of use for articles published in previous issues are governed by the copyright and licensing information provided with the respective publications.
The journal supports the objectives of the Budapest Open Access Initiative, particularly the principle of making scientific publications freely available for reading. The terms governing their reuse are determined by the license specified at the time of publication.
