The study of medieval archaeological monuments in Northern Kazakhstan is a crucial area of focus in Kazakhstani science. In 2023, researchers from the Margulan Institute of Archaeology conducted archaeological surveys and exploratory work in several districts of the North Kazakhstan region. As a result of these investigations, many new sites were identified. Excavations were carried out at one of the medieval monuments. The site selected for excavation was the Akkamburlyk complex (Simonovka 11) in the G. Musrepov district near the village of Simonovka. This article presents the initial results of the excavations. It is both important and necessary to continue archaeological research in the region. We believe that the findings will unveil new chapters in the history of Kazakhstan.
