Abstract

The article examines the results of research conducted by the archaeological expedition of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan at a burial ground located on the northern outskirts of the village of Komirshi in 2023. The obtained data reveal certain structural features of the kurgans, the level of construction development, burial rituals, and the religious beliefs of the region’s inhabitants. The discovered ceramic complexes, featuring unique manufacturing techniques, allow for a more precise determination of their cultural and chronological affiliation and their connection to other Saka-era monuments in Zhetisu. The article also presents the results of odontological analysis based on morphological indicators. Morphological features of the teeth were used to determine the sex of the buried individuals, their physical type, and biological age. The historical and archaeological connections of the site have been established.
