The results of archaeological research of the Kazakh wintering Bozok II on the territory of the capital

The article is devoted to the results of the archaeological survey of the Kazakh wintering of Bozok II. In 2021-2022, five building structures were investigated, three – residential, two – outbuildings. The structures are built of mud bricks. Natural materials were used in the construction of houses: clay, sand, poles, reeds. The wintering cultural layer contained a large amount of dating material, including fragments of porcelain tableware, ceramics, weights, dagger, objects made of iron, bronze, glass, decorative details, a coin, more than 300 fragments of osteological material of animals, which were given a preliminary comparative characteristic. The dwellings date from the middle of the 19th century – the beginning of the 20th century. The materials of winter quarters allow us to trace the traditions and technologies of house-building, to identify aspects of the household and economic life of the Kazakhs. The stationary studies carried out on the territory of the wintering of Bozok II allowed us to supplement with concrete facts and expand information on the history of the modern capital.
