The results of archaeological work carried out in 2021 at the medieval caravanserai Taskeshu

The article is devoted to the archaeological excavations carried out in 2021 in the medieval caravanserai of Taskeshu. The object was located along the transcontinental road that connected the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia through the Ustyurt plateau in the era of the Golden Horde (13th century). During the excavations, the main gate to the caravanserai was opened, and the outer walls of the object to the east of the gate were cleared. As a result of the study of the southeastern corner of the caravanserai, a round tower was discovered. Studies have shown that the width of the outer wall will be 1.20 meters. During the excavations, fragments of glazed ceramics and articles made of bone and iron were also found. At the end of the work on the monument, conservation work was carried out.
