The article is devoted to the study of the material basis, conservation and restoration of the wall murals discovered during the study of the Buddhist complex of Fayaztepa. The monument is located in the south of Uzbekistan, on the territory of the Old Termez ancient settlement and dates back to the 1st-3rd centuries AD. In the process of restoration the technology of fresco painting was studied and the characteristics of the Bactrian school of art were identified. Fragments of murals from the Fayaztepa sanctuary were mounted on a stationary base and prepared for museum treatment. Fragments of mural paintings, which were found in the courtyard of the monastery’s sanctuary and have not been published by the author of the excavation, were also processed and put into a scientific turnover.
