Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the archaeological exhibition organized by the Department of Archаeology of the of the Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I. Savitsky. The practice of organizing of the exhibition gives an idea of the chronological framework of the archaeological heritage of the Southern Aral Sea as a whole. The thematic exposition for the first time shows the rate of knowledge of sites of Ancient Khorezm from the point of view of the development of not only ceramic production, but also its demand in the further study of the history of material culture. Of particular importance is our exhibition in the context of the popularization of historical science as a way of preserving historical and cultural heritage in modern society. The exposure of collections is a natural result of the work of archaeologists of several generations of the Khorezmian Archaeologic and ethnographic Expedition (KhAEE), as well as their local Karakalpak school of archаeology. Thus, it is of interest to further study the issues of expanding of the chronological framework through the possibility of creating of an archaeological exhibition, as well as popularizing the tourism industry. The exhibition is a kind of gratitude to scientists, pioneers of the history of ancient and medieval culture, creators of the Karakalpak school of archаeology.
