The article outlines the main milestones of the life and scientific activity of T. Teplovodskaya, who became the first specialist in the study of ancient pottery in Kazakhstan having mastered the technical and technological analysis, the method of binocular microscopy and the petrographic direction in the study of ancient ceramics.
